Roadmap Goal:

Build Your Foundation

What is a Family Foundation?

Your family foundation is the bedrock that holds up and defines everything your family does together. Anything built without a solid foundation will surely crumble!

1. A Strong Foundation Has Strong Authority

Where does the ultimate authority in your family lie? Do you have a consistent, unchanging rule in your home?

At WSF, we recognize the unchanging eternal Truth and authority of God's Word given in the Holy Bible. We've seen first-hand the positive impact of building on Scripture has on every aspect of life, including the family. The Bible is constant: not swayed by the shifting tides of culture, and is not dependent on individual perspectives.

2. God's Ways Are Best

In the way that a parent best knows their child, God--as our creator--best knows us! He knows our human tendencies to fall short, and sets up guardrails to keep us from falling off the cliff.

God doesn't provide a list of rules to control us; He wants and KNOWS what is best for us! His rules will always lead to better outcomes than the ways of man.

3. A Foundation Creates Direction

When we watch a building being constructed from the ground up, we see that the foundation creates direction for everything above it. A structure that deviates from the foundation is not stable!

You family foundation creates clarity and a "WHY" for your family. Just as a building's foundation must be carefully planned for a successful structure, the family foundation paves the way to a successful future together.

This book of instruction must not depart from your mouth; you are to meditate on it day and night so that you may carefully observe everything written in it. For then you will prosper and succeed in whatever you do.
